| Hosting Environment Required for b2evolution |
| Although most people will run b2evolution on Linux with the Apache web server, those are not required set-ups. It is possible, for example, to run b2evolution on Windows with the IIS web server. Additionally, b2evolution will also install and run on the OS/2 Warp Server for E-Business (WSEB), and the OS/2 Warp 4 client, aka Merlin. Both have to be installed with their respective fix pack updates applied and proper Apache2, MySQL, and PHP stack in place. |

PHP version 4.3.2 or above download here (PHP 5 fully supported since b2evo version "1.6"). b2evolution 3.0 may require PHP 4.4. Version 5.x is recommended. |

MySQL version 4.1 or above download here (MySQL 5.x fully supported since b2evo version "1.6"). If you are running MySQL 3.23 or 4.0, which are a bit outdated, you can download b2evolution 2.4.7, which will supports those versions. |

| You can install b2evolution in an already existing database as well as put several b2evolution installations in one database. If your web server doesn't meet these specifications, we urge you to ask your web hosting provider to upgrade to PHP 5.x and MySQL 5.x. |
