To have an SSL certificate for a website hosted on your server, firstly you need to generate and submit a certificate signing request (CSR) to your Certification Authority (CA).
Upon receiving the CSR, the CA will process the certificate request and issue a signed certificate for your website provided the authentication process was successful. The CA will provide you instructions related to CSR-generation and installation of certificate.
